As the deprivations of the Covid pandemic started to ease, 70 intrepid blues loves made their way to Rathmore to enjoy vibrant blues on what proved to be a warm day and pleasantly clear evening. People turned up in camper vans or tents and stayed overnight in an adjacent paddock while others drove home at the end of the evening. Camp chairs and eskies were in abundance and there was a food truck providing fabulous burger meals and coffee. A number of fires in drums were lit in the late after noon and raged through the night.

The music started shortly after 3pm with Billy Whitton, Henry Nichols on drums and Randal Muir on the Hammond organ.

Later Billy played a solo bracket with his accoustic guitar and 'sterling silver' blues guitar which provided a bluegrass edge.

Then Pete stepped on stage with the returning Henry and Randal and added his characteristic precise guitar work. As the night wore on Billy joined the trio for a big finish, the last chords dying out shortly before midnight.
